Founder, Metta Archilla-Ishida alongside Nacy Vieira decided over 4 years ago that when they launched a local to Cypress foodie Group, it was going to be and mean so much more than just another food-centric group. It was going to be a group with a humanitarian focus. Metta’s Local Eats & Community Outreach is the parent umbrella to the MLE Dine Out for Charity program, MLE Care Team, and Metta’s Local Eats (the food Group).
Our passion is supporting local Mom and Pops and building up our core foundation one Dine Out for Charity at a time. And that’s exactly what we did. Metta’s Local Eats combines all the good things about Food and Fellowship (our mantra) and married with a charitable purpose so that local 501(c) entities can do more, save more, help more than ever before. 100% of all program participation goes directly to the non-profit organization beneficiary.
This Foundation is built on the backs of a Committee of strong, like-minded, and Community centric driven individuals and we are growing annually. My endearing and forever thanks to:

Our History
Cy-Fair Helping Hands (CFHH), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was founded to help the homeless of Cy-Fair become self-sufficient. The ministry had its humble beginnings in the heart of one woman and a huge pot of soup served from the back of a pick-up truck. For many years, Cy-Fair residents, Jean and John Dreyer, made it their mission to minister to those living on the streets of northwest Houston. They forged relationships with the homeless, collecting and storing food, clothes, and supplies for them in their garage. The couple eventually sold their antique business to fund Cy-Fair Helping Hands.
Since its inception in 2010, the fledgling organization has grown to include a Community Food Pantry, enabling CFHH to serve not only the homeless, but the hungry. Programs for our homeless neighbors include provision of Emergency Shelter, scholarships for unprivileged students, a Homeless Outreach, a Homeless Day Shelter, programs for homeless students, and events and programs during the holidays and at back-to-school time. 100% of our funding comes from caring individuals, churches, businesses, and organizations.
Every gift you make....
provides a life-changing helping hand for a person living in crisis. With your help, CFHH can provide basic needs for homeless individuals, in addition to helping to meet the needs of struggling families. Thanks to your generosity, we can provide nourishing food, shelter from the elements including a bed to sleep in, a place to take a shower and wash clothing, free health screenings, and more.
Our Mission
to bring hope to the homeless and hungry.
